Ricardo Ramos and Samantha Mallory are a directing team based in Los Angeles that focuses on female driven stories with a genre twist. They met on set, fell in love on set, and continue to support each other on set as co-directors. For over ten years now, they've been writing and creating their own films, saving up every penny so they can make their visions come to life. They are driven by the desire -- perhaps even possessed -- to tell stories that explore the dark and difficult topics of our world. In order to satiate this calling, they're both willing to get down and dirty -- building an electric chair from scratch for a sci-fi short, making chocolate flavored blue blood for an experimental horror piece, or even being a two person crew, filming with an iPhone for a seven day shoot. Some may call them delusional, but they like to call themselves “delightfully driven.” With Ricardo’s production background in reality TV, his editing experience, and his artistic eye with a camera, he covers the more logistical and technical aspects of directing. In contrast, Samantha comes from an acting background, so she is confident working with actors to ensure the most honest and raw performances. In addition, she writes all of their scripts and obsesses over costume and set details. In essence, they complete each other -- and not just in the lovey-dovey way. They complement each other. They ground each other. And they take turns being depressed about the state of their careers, so there’s always someone to comfort the other.

Samantha Mallory is a writer/director, specializing in sci-fi, horror, and fantasy stories with female protagonists who have to face the darkness within. She recently won “Best Female Screenplay” at Hollyshorts 2025. She was a Top 10 Finalist in Stage 32’s New Voices in Animation (along with her writing partner), a Semi-Finalist in the Atlanta Film Festival Feature Screenplay Competition, a Semi-Finalist in the Cinequest Short Script Writing Competition. Her directorial debut premiered at the Oscar Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2023. In her spare time, Samantha loves to draw, sing, and read novels curled up next to her cat Pizza.

Ricardo Ramos is an award winning filmmaker and a multiple Emmy nominated unscripted television producer with over 10 years of experience. His work has ranged from short films, reality television series, digital shows, true crime shows, clip shows, news shows and talk shows for major networks and streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Sony, NBC, Discovery, BET+, ABC, Hallmark, Facebook Watch, Fox Sports 1 and Warner Bros. He is currently a Story Associate Producer for Peacock’s “Married at First Sight.”
